主要从事玉米耐逆胁迫与种子发育的组学与分子生物学研究,主持国家自然科学基金、河南省高等学校重点科研项目、校创新基金等科研项目4项。以第一作者或通讯作者在Nature Protocols, Briefings in Bioinformatics, Frontiers in Plant Science, Proteomics, PLOS ONE等期刊上发表论文19篇,获国家发明专利授权1 项(第二发明人)。
